Children on Colshaw were concerned about drugs on the estate and the local environment, such as insufficient lighting on play areas, play areas developed off the beaten track, overgrown trees and shrubbery in alley ways which children used, problems with the hostel for the homeless.

All issues and concerns were dealt with and at the celebration the children asked the relevant people to help combat these problems.

Most problems were addressed, the local Council helped in every way they could.
