Information

This projects aim was to contact a group of young people from a disadvantaged area.  There is local feedback that there is an issue with young people hanging around the streets of Ellesmere Port.  I wanted to work with a group of young people in the area but found it very difficult.

The TA detachment is a local base that encourages both males and females to participate in teamwork and activities.  The detachment wanted to encourage participation and increase attendance.

The group were very interested in sport and were keen to participate in the project.  I thought the Junior Sport Leader Award was an idea way to encourage the group and part of the course is to run 10 hours of voluntary sporting activities with groups of young people.  This I felt was an idea way to encourage young people in the area to consider joining the TA Cadets as well as to reduce loitering around the streets and participating in positive activities and may inspire the young people to reach their potential.
