Working with Youth offending Team, with young people on ASBO orders and their mentors. Young people came with no prior knowledge or skills and attended on a voluntary basis.

They used rasps and files to carve names out of Breezeblock.

They gained skills in marking out, transferring designs form paper to brick, a variety of carving skills and also had the opportunity to support mentors in doing the work.

This was an effective way to build and consolidate relationships between mentors and young people turning the tables on the traditional role of mentor supporting young person
